Come with us on an adventure of a lifetime — which will include a historical Old City Tour, where the central square is dominated by the twinned Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, and the streets are adorned with even more imperial Ottoman-era mosques, Byzantine cisterns and the remains of the Hippodrome arena. There is so much waiting for you in Istanbul, and we hope to see you there with us in 2023!

History & Marvels

The historical Old City includes Hippodrome Square, Hagia Sophia, Şerefiye Cistern and much more. One of the most marvelous historical structures of Istanbul is the underground Cistern Basilica, which was built by Emperor Justinian between 527-565; it features seemingly countless columns rising from the water, earning it the name “Underground Palace.”

Istanbul

FUN FACT: The Hippodrome (Sultanahmet Square) is a former chariot racing stadium and now a large park. It contains an Egyptian obelisk and the Serpentine Column from the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, Greece.
